The Youth Atlantic Treaty Association of Spain (COAJE),

 an umbrella organization which acts as a network facilitator in the Euro-Atlantic and beyond, draws together political leaders, academics, and diplomats in an effort to further the values set forth by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)- Democracy, Freedom, Liberty, Peace, Security, and the Rule of law.
The Youth Mediterranean Dialogue is a multicultural simulation for it will take place in Madrid, the Kingdom of Spain from the 7th to the 12th of April.
Delegates will have the opportunity to attend academic conferences of experts on Mediterranean issues, politicians, judges, military officers and diplomats. They will have to defend the interest of a member country at one of the following committees; North Atlantic Council, Political and Partnership Committee or Security Committee.
COAJE are looking prefer candidates in between the ages of 17 and 24, however everyone has a chance to participate in the Youth Mediterranean Dialogue.
Participants will have to pay a 50€ fee, which includes transportation to the places they will visit, two meals (breakfast and lunch), welcome pack, work material, gala dinner and accommodation in the Neo Magna Hotel. Travel expenses are not covered.

Civic Education Consultant
1 BACKGROUND
The Social Contract Center (SCC) is a joint project between the United Nations
Development Program (UNDP) and the Egyptian Cabinet’s Information and Decision
Support Center (IDSC) with the support of the Italian‐Egyptian Debt for Development
Swap Programme and the Government of Japan.
Starting its actual operations in June 2007, SCC’s mandate is to provide evidence
based Policy Advice, Monitor progress towards the achievement of the
Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), and Coordinate with various
stakeholders to define, develop and articulate a vision for a new social contract
that will represent a paradigm shift in the state‐citizen relationship rooted in the
principles of democratic governance and modern concept of citizenship. In the
meantime, the Center has managed to establish itself as a credible institution
among government and civil society creating continual demand for its outputs.
Building on past successes and lessons learned, starting January 2013, the
second phase of the SCC project focused on supporting the national dialogue on
Egypt’s social contract and ensuring its continuity through institutionalized
channels; monitoring and advising on the achievement of equitable
development and securing citizen rights through socially informed policies and
the coordination and engagement of civil society in an inclusive dialogue on
reforms in governance.
Egypt's new constitution, the country's "New Social Contract", took effect on
18th of January 2014. In this regard the Social Contract Center would like to hire the
services of a Consultant to carry out a "Constitutional Dictionary" to support
members of the Civil Society to be aware with the exact meaning of words, phrases,
and concepts used in the constitution which will help them to understand the new
social contract and will empower them to participate positively in the political
process.
2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop a constitutional dictionary (words, phrases, and concepts used in the
constitution).
2. Assist in producing tools related to the constitution for the Civic
Education Program
3 QUALIFICATIONS
1- PhD or MA degree in the Constitutional Law.
2- Sound academic background on issues related to the constitution-making
process and constitution content.
3- Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Arabic.
4- Strong reporting and presentation skills
5- Ability to communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders.
6- Have experience and good grasp of facilitation techniques and the concepts
and tools of open space methodologies and approach.

Note on the candidates' evaluation:
Candidates will be screened by a panel and a short list will be called in for
interviews within one week post the deadline of submission. Candidates will be
then interviewed and assessed by a SCC Management panel on their technical
skills and relevant experience.
