Lab Analyst
Job Summary
Routine testing of ingredients, packaging materials and finished products by applying different analytical and microbiological testing methods and sensory evaluation techniques
Key Responsibilities
Chemical, physical and instrumental analysis of ingredients and finished products
Evaluating the sensory profile of ingredients and finished products
Microbiological testing of water, ingredients, and finished products
Physical Incoming inspection and sampling of incoming materials
Test results reporting
Records keeping
Contributing in the continual improvement and corporate initiatives
Contributing in new instrument/methods and process validation
Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments
Related Job Requirements/Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment, preferably in the FMCG field
Knowledge of the International Standards ISO 17025:2005
Knowledge of Statistics and Quality tools
Analytical thinking and problem solving/trouble shooting ability
Results-oriented mindset
Experience in handling of hazardous materials and GLPs
Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills in both English and Arabic
Excellent planning, prioritization and time management skills
Excellent teamwork and coordination skills
Computer software and applications
Education
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacy
A Diploma in Total Quality Management is a plus
Fluent in both English and Arabic
